BatchMark guide
Prepare the smallest label payload that a receiving or shelf workflow can scan and understand. Keep the SKU in the barcode and leave human-readable name and price as display text.
Prepare a clean CSV
One row defines a SKU, display name, price, and whole-number copy count. The tool repeats that row on the sheet; it does not infer inventory or reorder quantities.
Use actual Code 39
Each symbol is built from the Code 39 narrow and wide bar/space patterns with start and stop asterisks. The optional Mod-43 character is appended only when selected.
Mod-43 character = sum of Code 39 character values modulo 43
Test physical output
Label width and height are CSS print targets. Disable browser shrink-to-fit if your printer offers that choice, print one, measure it, and scan it before printing a batch.
The illustrative MUG-001 row at quantity 4 produces four identical labels. Price is visible but never encoded into the barcode.
Limits and assumptions
- The batch is rendered locally from your CSV. It does not create inventory records, track scans, or connect to a product catalog.
- Code 39 has a limited alphabet. Lowercase, asterisk, and other punctuation are rejected rather than silently changed.
- Print scale depends on browser and printer settings. Verify one physical label and scanner read before printing a full run.
