Practical guide
Prepare a clean Code 39 label CSV
BatchMark treats the CSV as print content, not an inventory feed. Keep the barcode payload small and the human-readable fields clear for the receiving or shelf workflow.
Give every row a printable payload
Each row supplies SKU, name, price, and whole-number quantity. The default MUG-001 quantity is 4 and SOAP-02 quantity is 3, so the engine reports 7 labels from 2 unique rows.
A row with quantity 4 becomes four identical labels; the name and price remain display text.
Stay inside Code 39 characters
The supported SKU alphabet is uppercase A-Z, digits, space, and the listed Code 39 punctuation. Lowercase, asterisk, and unsupported punctuation are rejected rather than silently changed.
- Use a stable SKU convention.
- Keep the asterisk reserved for start and stop symbols.
- Check one printed label with the receiving scanner.
Keep display price separate
The optional visible price is printed for people but is not encoded in the barcode. The default batch’s merchandise value is 68.75 from the entered prices and quantities.
